About the artist
Simon Patterson was born in Leatherhead, Surrey in 1967. He studied at Goldsmiths' College, University of London, between 1986 and 1989, where he participated in Freeze, an exhibition curated by fellow student Damien Hirst in a Docklands warehouse. He was nominated for the Turner Prize in 1996. He lives and works in London.
