About the artist
Sarah Jones was born in London and studied Fine Art (1978–81) and Fine Art and Contemporary Dance (1994–96) at Goldsmiths College. Her work has been widely exhibited both at national and international level. Her recent shows include Sarah Jones: Photographs at the National Media Museum in Bradford, which marked the end of her post as the museum’s Bradford Photography Fellow (2006–07); and a solo exhibition at Maureen Paley Fine Art in 2008. Public and commercial collectors of her work include the Museum Folkwang, Essen; the Museum of Modern Art, San Francisco; and the Saatchi Collection, London. She is currently a Research Fellow at the University of Derby and a Tutor at the Royal College of Art, London.
