This arrangement consists of 21 found film posters that Leo Fitzmaurice has transformed into a galaxy of planets, through blocking out the majority of the image with permanent marker revealing selected areas of colour. This action both highlights the considered allure of advertising, and appropriates these cheap everyday objects to create a mesmeric constellation.
Fitzmaurice’s practice is based around the arrangement, framing or intervention of found objects into new configurations, temporary installations or found tableaus. His materials are infinite and range from doctored shopping bags to car headlights.
