Fionnuala Boyd and Leslie Evans started working together as Boyd & Evans in 1968. During 1999 they spent three months travelling through California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah and Wyoming. The photographs, prints and paintings which resulted from this trip emphasise the vastness of the American landscape. This panoramic photograph emphasises the profound stillness of one particular part of Yellowstone National Park. Spindly tree trunks pepper the snow-covered hillside under a powder-blue sky, separated from us by a stretch of steely water.
