Jeffery Camp was born in Suffolk. He studied at Lowestoft School of Art, Ipswich School of Art and Edinburgh College of Art between 1941 and 1944. In 1961 he became a member of the London Group of artists. He held numerous solo exhibitions since 1959 at the Beaux Arts Gallery in London, and elsewhere. He also taught at the Slade School of Art in London.
