Gerrit van Giessen’s large panoramic view of The Hague includes an index, located in the two bottom corners. The work has been printed on two sheets of paper, which are joined in the centre. It was engraved and published as an illustration to Jacob de Riemer’s 'Beschryving van's Graven-hage', published in Delft in 1730, by the publisher and writer~Reinier Boitet (c.1680-c.1750).
