Found objects are combined in 'Blind' to form a unique wall-mounted work. Transparent plastic strips, commonly used to create hygiene barriers in supermarkets, fall languidly over sections of red painted canvas. Brazilian-born Alexandre Da Cunha combines objects of otherwise low or no value to create unexpectedly compelling works of art. By undertaking the practice of recycling ordinary objects, as commonly done by street children in Brazilian cities, his work combines urban culture with fine art practice.
