    Ahmed Mohammed uses a gestural drawing process to create abstract compositions, often in a sharply contrasting colour palette. His work presents us with bright intriguing compositions that sit in illuminated tension with the practical, almost banal everyday titles he gives them. His creative practice spans textile art, printmaking, ceramics, drawing, and multimedia.

    Ahmed Mohammad’s work has featured in a number of exhibitions at Venture Art Manchester (2021-23); TJ Boulting Gallery, Fitzrovia, London; Frieze, London and The National Festival of Making, Blackburn Cathedral Annex (all 2022). His work was selected from the Venture Arts studio artists for two Whitworth Edition prints.
