About the artist
Renaissance painter Bernardino Licinio was born in the town of Bergamo in Lombardy, Italy. He was one of a family of artists established on the Venetian island of Murano (famous for its glassmaking industry) and in Venice itself. He mainly painted portraits and religious subjects.
