This crude version of Francis Bindon's portrait of Jonathan Swift in the National Gallery of Ireland orignally included lines of verse taken from Horace's Epistle to Augustus. However, the paintwork of the lettering has been damaged and poorly repaired, so the Latin words are no longer clear.
