This is one of a pair of landscapes (see also GAC 5403) by a British artist. They were painted in about 1840 and are thought to show views on the River Thames, possibly near the village of Goring in Oxfordshire. The works were previously thought to be by landscape painter John Fulleylove (1847-1908).
