About the artist
Nothing is known of the life of the artist P. R. Perry. A watercolour view of ‘St. Malachy’s Roman Catholic Chapel from Basin Loning (now Ormeau Avenue)’ by the artist, signed and dated 1859, was listed for sale through Dreweatts (The Fine Art Auction Group) on 29 November 2006 (lot 364; bought in). Also, there is a signed watercolour, titled ‘Epsom Station on Derby Day’ and dated 1878, in the collection of the National Railway Museum.
