About the artist
Born in 1942, Terence Millington studied painting at the Birmingham College of Art in the 1960s where he was awarded the Jackson Travelling Scholarship. He later undertook a postgraduate course in printmaking at Manchester College of Art. He established an etching workshop in 1970 and his first colour etchings were published by Editions Alecto. He has taught courses in the graphic arts at Birmingham, Bath, Leeds and St Albans’ Schools of Art. Millington's aquatints and engravings have been exhibited widely, and his work can be found in the collections of the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, the Tate Collection and the Arts Council of Great Britain.
