Sergio Gonzalez Tornero was born in Chile, and is one of South America’s foremost printmakers. After studying art in Chile and Brazil he attended the Slade School of Art in London, and in 1952-52 briefly worked in Sussex with the painter Ivon Hitchens. After studying at Atelier 17 in Paris he moved to America in the mid 1960s and today lives and works in New York. His work is represented in a number of public and private collections in Britain, America, Australia and France.
