Laura Lancaster was born in Hartlepool, UK. In 1998 she graduated with a BA (Hons) Fine Art from Northumbria University. In 2007 she had solo shows at the Miami Art Fair and at the Bailiffgate Museum, Northumberland. In 2005 she had a solo exhibition at the Workplace Gallery in Gateshead and at Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art, UK. In 2001 she was the winner of the Unilever Fresh Graduate Award.
