Katy Moran was born in Manchester and studied Graphic Art and Design at Leeds Metropolitan University (1995-1998), followed by an MA in Painting at the Royal College of Art (London, 2003-2005). She was included in the annual Art Futures exhibition at Bloomberg Space, London in 2005, winning the Art Review magazine prize. Other exhibitions that year included shows in New York and San Marino, Italy. She has held several solo shows at Stuart Shave/Modern Art, London, in addition to shows at Tate St Ives (2009) and MIMA, Middlesbrough (2008). Moran lives and works in London.
