Philomene Pirecki was born in Jersey in the Channel Islands. She is now based in London. She completed her BA at Chelsea College of Art & Design in 1994 and her MA at the Royal College of Art in 1996. Solo exhibitions include Philomene Pirecki, Laure Genillard, London (2011); Image Persistence, Supplement, London; Frame, Fold, Fracture, Green on Red gallery, Dublin; (both 2013). Group exhibitions in 2014 include The Influence of Furniture on Love, Wysing Arts Centre, Cambridge; Ends Again, Supplement, London; In the Wake, Truth and Consequences, Geneva and Matter and Memory, Alison Jacques, London. Also in 2014 she had a two-person show with Jamie Shovlin, Unosunove in Rome and took part in the following group exhibitions, Collecting Mode, Neumeister Bar Am, Berlin and Panda Sex, State of Concept, Athens.
Pirecki was shortlisted for the Max Mara Art Prize for Women, 2013–15.
