This lithographic print is one of a series of six, published in 1852 as ‘A Few Recollections of Eton’. The prints were engraved by Percival Skelton, from his own watercolours and published by the firm of Day and Sons. The other works in the series were titled: ‘School Yard Eton’; ‘The Brocas’; ‘The Dell, Windsor Park’; ‘College and Street, Eton’; and ‘Locks near Eton’. The Government Art Collection also includes an example of the lithograph ‘Locks near Eton’ (GAC 4776).
